Tamil Nadu 11th Public Exam 2025: Complete Schedule, Key Subjects, and Guidelines


The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TN DGE) has officially released the timetable for the Higher Secondary First Year (+1) public examinations for the academic year 2024-2025. These exams are scheduled to commence on March 5, 2025, and conclude on March 27, 2025. 


Key Dates and Subjects:

March 5, 2025: Language subjects (Tamil and other Indian languages)

March 10, 2025: English

March 13, 2025: Subjects including Communicative English, Ethics & Indian Culture, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Bio-Chemistry, Advanced Language (Tamil), Home Science, Political Science, Statistics, Nursing (Vocational), and Basic Electrical Engineering

March 17, 2025: Subjects such as Biology, Botany, History, Business Mathematics & Statistics, Basic Electronics Engineering, Basic Civil Engineering, Basic Automobile Engineering, Basic Mechanical Engineering, Textile Technology, and Office Management & Secretaryship

March 20, 2025: Physics, Economics, and Employability Skills

March 24, 2025: Mathematics, Zoology, Commerce, Microbiology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Textiles & Dress Designing, Food Service Management, Agricultural Science, and Nursing (General)

March 27, 2025: Chemistry, Accountancy, and Geography

The examinations will commence at 10:00 AM and conclude at 1:15 PM. The schedule is as follows:


10:00 AM to 10:10 AM: Reading the question paper

10:10 AM to 10:15 AM: Verification of particulars by the candidates

10:15 AM to 1:15 PM: Duration of the examination

Students are advised to arrive at their respective examination centers well in advance to ensure timely entry and to avoid any last-minute hassles. It's crucial to carry the necessary identification documents and adhere strictly to the examination guidelines set forth by the TN DGE.
